It was a magical evening at the Howard Theatre. The Queen of Reggae, Marcia Griffiths performed in DC on Wednesday, November 20th just a few days before her birthday on November 23rd!
Attired in a regal flowing red gown with royal gold accents, Marcia and her all female Reggae band Rayzalution delighted the audience with selections from Marcia’s extensive catalog including songs from her recent album, Timeless. She has also had a special surprise in store, announcing veteran artist Lady G to share the stage.
A favorite moment came at the end of the night came when she invited the Howard University dancers to join her onstage to do the “Electric Slide” dance. It was a wonderful finale to a very enjoyable and memorable evening of timeless classics.
