The Cannabis Cup Band known as the CCB Reggae All-Stars are a wonderful collective of popular Reggae artists and musicians based in the New York City area. The core group of singers and musicians include Ras Droppa, Marcia Davis, Carla Kelly, Simone G and Edizen Archer, and Andrew McIntyre plus special guests.
Recently they honored the life and music of the late legend, Peter Tosh who would have been 75 years old on October 19th. The celebration was held at the Brooklyn Bowl a live music venue in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn. It was a fun-filled night of music in honor of Peter Tosh. Some of the special guest musicians for the evening included Andy Bassford on guitar and Mikey Chung an original touring guitarist with Peter Tosh’s band.
Fans were also in for a surprise treat with an impromptu guest appearance by Papa Michigan. He performed his studio one classic, “One Love Jam Down” as the final song for the evening. Enjoy photos and a couple video clips from the evening.

20191023_CCB Reggae All Stars – Peter Tosh Tribute. Never had an interest in these tribute shows even though i had many opportunity to attend. But I found out that Andy Bassford and Mikey Chung would be playing on this one so I figured it would be worth my while. Maaaan, was I in for a treat. Was a pleasure hearing Mikey Chung playing for the first time and Andy really caught me off guard with this one
