Mr. Vegas ISM Album Launch NYC

Jamaican recording artist Clifford Smith, better known as Mr. Vegas is back on the scene with a powerful new album. His latest studio album ISM was released over the summer on July 27, 2018. An album launch was held in New York City the same week to celebrate the release of ISM. Hard core Mr. Vegas fans were definitely in attendance for the premiere event held at Esther and Carol NYC.

In positive spirits for the celebratory occasion, Mr. Vegas took time to speak about each album track at the listening party.

Mr. Vegas is also celebrating another significant milestone this year – 2018 marks his 20th year in the music industry. His first album Heads High was released in 1998. Over the years he has followed suit with several hit albums including several released under his own recording label MV Records.

Mr. Vegas displays his versatility and maturity on the new 12 track album, which continues his departure from some of the earlier dancehall style hits for which he is well known. ISM (released on MV records) speaks to the many isms (racism, sexism, and colorism among many other examples) still affecting today’s society.

Visuals for the lead single Wake Up were released on September 7, 2018. The song’s call to action pleads listeners to open their eyes to the realities that surround them and free up themselves: “Wake Up Black People It’s Time To Know Your True Self … If you can’t accept the truth you still mentally enslaved.”
