For Immediate Release:  The Boston Most Elite Awards (BMEA) will be held on Saturday, May 19th at Russell Auditorium in Boston, Massachusetts at 10PM.

The Boston Most Elite Awards is an event geared towards giving recognition to the people in the Boston urban nightlife community. These are the trendsetters and socialites who attend urban night club events whether they are Disc Jockeys, Promoters who promote the parties, Graphic Designers who create the fliers, Photographers who take pictures for the flyers, Camera men who take photographs of all the club visitors, Videographers who record all of the excitement, or the Supporters who make theses events fun. We felt that there was a great need to recognize the good instead of constantly pointing out the bad. Our mission is to unite the people of Boston and the music industry by showing our appreciation to these many artistic crafts. Boston also has a huge Dancehall fan base. Almost every nightclub plays a variety of dancehall music, even the hip hop clubs will throw in the latest dancehall hit.

Hence we decided to honor some of the most respected, influential, and internationally known Dancehall Artists who have throughout the years made remarkable influence on the dancehall scene and have helped to shape and form it into what it is today. We will honor one of these artists by presenting the entertainer with a Lifetime Achievement Award and Contribution to Dancehall and Reggae.  The Lifetime Achievement Award nominees are Pinchers, Sanchez, Half Pint, Bounty Killer, John Holt, Sizzla, Tanya Stephens, and Lady Saw.  The International Mainstream Artist nominees are Mavado, Shaggy, and I-Octane  and the Contribution to Dancehall Music Award nominees include Tifa, Popcaan, and Khago among others at the highly anticipated awards ceremony on May 19th, 2012.

The ceremony will hosted by Boston’s own Rushyboo and DJ Goldfinger and will be held at Russell Hall which is located at 70 Talbot Ave in Boston, Mass. It will be an elegant and classy event. Artists are nominated because of their dedication, enthusiasm, and influence in the music industry. They have stayed true to their origins throughout the years and laid the foundation for many of the younger entertainers, and yet still manage to sustain their positions as tremendous entertainers that continue to make great hits that both touch you and make you want to get up and dance.

Confirmed Performers  include:  Tifa, Future Fambo,             I-Wayne, Muma Gee, Tony Bless , Dancehall Queen Smallie, Nancia, Janey David,  Chey Lanay, Rey Royale, Laquandra Seymore, and King-I
