Festival Spotlight:  Reggae Sumfest! 

Reggae SumFestReggae Sumfest 2015

The 23rd annual edition of  Reggae SumFest  takes place July 12th – 18th, 2015  in Montego Bay, Jamaica.  Established in 1993, Reggae SumFest is one of the largest music festivals held in Jamaica.  The nearly week long event features a number of themed nights, a dancehall night and two international performance nights.  

International headliners this year include Common, Jennifer Hudson and Rick Ross.   Jamaican Reggae and Dancehall headliners announced to date include Beenie Man, Capleton, Konshens, Cocoa Tea, Dexta Daps, Gully Bop, Jesse Royal, Tommy Lee, Popcaan, Keznamdi and more!  For more info and the latest line-up announcements, visit the official SumFest site www.reggaesumfest.com


New Video Spotlight from the Ladies in Reggae 

Etana has released the video for  “I Rise”, the title track on her 2014 album released in the fall of 2014. The album which reached number one on the Billboard Reggae Album Chart is still holding steady in the top 10, currently at #6 as of this week.  Etana wraps up her current US tour this week. 

Jah 9 follows up Gratitude, the  4th video from her debut album, New Name.  Jah 9 will be on an East Coast Tour with with Dub Tonic Kru from July 25 – August 2nd.  She is currently scheduled for 9 shows in 9 days!  We won’t be surprised if more shows are added! 

Kelissa has released the official music video for her latest single  “Keep my Head up”.  The single is part of the Smart Riddim, which also features Marla Brown, Gappy Ranks, Norris Man, and Jah Bami.  The video is Produced by Royal Order Music & Green Stone Music.
