Morgan Heritage recently received their first Grammy Award in the category of Best Reggae Album at the 58th Grammy Awards ceremony held on February 15th in Los Angeles, California. The billboard-chart topping and Grammy award winning album, Strictly Roots is the band's 10th studio album, which was released in April of 2015. Last year was a momentous year for Morgan Heritage as they toured extensively in support of Strictly Roots and then joined Damian Marley, Stephen Marley, and Tarrus Riley on the successful US nation-wide Catch a Fire tour before capping off the year with their first grammy nomination!
Continuing their upward momentum for 2016, Morgan Heritage just wrapped up their Keep It Jammin East Coast tour that kicked off in Atlanta on February 18th, including a stop in Washington, D.C. Reggae fans packed the Howard Theatre to catch a wonderful performance of Morgan Heritage, along with special guests Jemere Morgan, Laza Morgan and opening act hip-hop duo, Blackilicious. Look out for more Morgan Heritage tour dates being announced.
